Alice Spring lies in the lower part of the territory, the only Desert town that is the oasis for visits to Ayers Rock. Aussie Air Lines cover all of these remote locations and in my experience the Hotels are world class , I stayed in the local Sheraton Hotel. NEW SOUTH WALES-Capital SYDNEY, NSW was the first European settlement, serene Mountains, large nature parks, beautiful Beaches, Sydney caters to any visitors needs from fine dining to concerts in the Sydney Opera house to golf , Sailing and relaxing on a Beach. I was stunned to having to make a left turn first to make a right turn down town , there are only a couple of these rather different intersections on William's Street, Tourist be aware. TASMANIA-Capital-HOBART,Tasmania lies across the Bass Strait, a very scenic island with rural charm, Hobart is a multi cultural experience , the Air is brisk and clean , excellent and relaxing retreat. WESTERN AUSTRALIA-Capital_PERTH, Perth the place of the America's cup, this is the place were Bond's Team beat the Stars and Stripes, it was a euphoric event for the Aussies, I was in AUS and had first hand experience, when Stars and Stripes won a race , the next morning somber music on the radio, the nation was mourning, than in the streets jubilation when Bondi's Team won. SOUTH-AUSTRALIA-Capital--ADELAIDE, Large Wine producer and agricultural state, Wines like Barossa ( my favorite), Clare Valley and many more are produced here. Adelaide has become a vibrant city, it celebrated the many wine Festivals, many actors and musicians have their home in Adelaide , Kangaroo Island is a favorite Tourist experience, with wild life at every turn .Other attractions are special Trains tours into the wine growing areas. NEW ZEALAND-Capital-Wellington The much acclaimed islands of NZ or KIWI land, a nation committed to protect its habitat and that includes innovative Ecological measures that have worked over the years.This Jewel in the South Pacific should be on every bodies Holiday list.
